Get More Enjoyment in the Pool
There is nothing more frustrating than planning a party or even just having friends over and the pool heater is not working! When this happens, what do you do? Hire Franklin Lakes Pool Company for your weekly maintenance because we check the heater each and every time we’re there! If We find there is a problem, we will call and let you know and usually have it fixed before the weekend! If you haven’t, here are some things to check before you call a service company:
- Is the pool running? Check and make sure filter pump is on.
- Check that water is flowing by looking at the filter pressure gauge, if pressure is over 20 lbs, a backwash may do the trick.
- Is the gas valve turned on? Proper alignment is valve running in-line with gas pipe.
- Is electric on for heater? If heater is a milli-volt system and does not require electric, check to see if pilot light is lit. If pilot light is not lit, refer to inside of heater panel for instructions on how to light pilot.
- Is thermostat on heater higher than water temperature? If pool is connected to an automatic controller than make sure temperature setting there is also higher than water.

Hayward Pool Heaters

Condensation Protection
The Unitherm Governor inside the header helps reduce condensation from low inlet water temperatures. It automatically regulates the water flow to help keep the water temperature in the heat exchanger above 105°F. Both water temperature and water flow rate are controlled to eliminate condensation, sooting, and scale build-up that can shorten heater life.
High Flow Rates
